Indian wind energy solutions provider Inox Wind has secured new wind orders totaling 229MW, reinforcing its growing footprint in the country’s renewable energy sector. The company has agreed to supply wind turbine generators to a domestic independent power producer, with the order comprising a firm 112MW and an option to extend by an additional 48MW. The contract also includes limited-scope engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) services, along with multiyear operations and maintenance (O&M) support post-project commissioning.
Inox Wind CEO Sanjeev Agarwal attributed the order inflows to the company’s advanced 3MW-class turbine technology and its expanding presence in India’s renewable energy market. “We are also in advanced stages of discussions with multiple other customers and should secure additional orders soon, with a target to close FY26 at a net orderbook covering our execution plans for the subsequent 18-24 months,” Agarwal stated.
Inox Wind, part of the INOXGFL Group, has also secured a repeat order for 69MW from another renewable energy player that is part of a major global clean energy company. This project will be executed in the Indian state of Maharashtra, following a 153MW contract received from the same customer in March 2025. INOXGFL Group Renewables CEO Kailash Tarachandani highlighted the significance of these orders, stating, “New customer orders as well as repeat orders from existing customers highlight the confidence which our clients place on our technology, execution capabilities, and long-term service excellence.”
These developments underscore Inox Wind’s position as a preferred partner among renewable energy developers in India. The company’s ability to secure both new and repeat orders demonstrates its technological prowess and reliability in the market. As India continues to push for renewable energy adoption, Inox Wind’s growing orderbook and expanding customer base could shape the trajectory of the country’s wind energy sector. The company’s focus on advanced turbine technology and comprehensive service offerings may set new benchmarks for performance and efficiency in the industry. Moreover, the confidence expressed by global clean energy companies in Inox Wind’s capabilities could attract further investment and collaboration, fostering innovation and growth in India’s renewable energy landscape.
