Nordex Reports 82% Surge in Wind Turbine Orders for Q2 2025

Nordex Group has reported a significant uptick in wind turbine orders for the second quarter of 2025, marking an 82% year-on-year increase from the same period in 2024. The company secured orders totaling 2,300 MW, up from 1,270 MW in Q2 2024. This surge in demand saw Nordex book 350 turbines across nine countries, with Germany, Turkey, and Latvia emerging as particularly strong markets.

The first half of 2025 has been equally robust, with order intake reaching 4.5 GW, a notable increase from the 3.36 GW recorded in the first half of 2024. This growth comes amid stable pricing trends, with average sales prices rising to €0.97 million per MW in Q2 and €0.92 million per MW across the first half of the year.

Nordex chief executive José Luis Blanco attributed the company’s success to its strategic direction and business model. “Building on a strong start to the year, we continued to deliver solid performance in the second quarter,” he said. “This consistent momentum reflects the strength of our business model and the strategic direction we’ve taken.”

Blanco also expressed confidence in Nordex’s future prospects. “Looking ahead, we remain focused on our core markets and are very confident in our ability to sustain this positive trajectory.”

The news underscores the growing demand for wind energy solutions and highlights Nordex’s ability to capitalize on this trend. The company’s focus on core markets and strategic direction appears to be paying dividends, setting a precedent for other players in the renewable energy sector. As the industry continues to evolve, Nordex’s performance may serve as a benchmark for success in the wind turbine market.
