JSW Energy Expands Solar Ambitions with 700MW NTPC Power Agreement

JSW Energy is making significant strides in the renewable energy landscape of India, bolstered by its recent power purchase agreement with the National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) for a robust 700MW solar project. JSW Energy’s total generation capacity is currently pegged at 18.2GW, a figure that includes 7.7GW of operational capacity across various segments, including thermal, wind, hydro, and solar projects. This ambition is further underscored by their plans for substantial energy storage development, targeting an impressive 40GWh of storage capacity by the same year.

As part of this commitment to sustainability, JSW Energy has initiated the construction of a 1GWh battery energy storage project in Fatehgarh, Rajasthan.
